Opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari presented a memorandum to the special observer of police at the BSF guest house, advocating for stringent security arrangements during the upcoming elections in Bengal. Adhikari emphasized the pivotal role of security in ensuring fair elections, stating, "the elections in Bengal are between the police and the public."

Expressing concerns over potential disruptions, Adhikari alleged that "the state police knows how to keep the Central Corps personnel engaged on the election day, hence there is a need to remain alert."
